Petrobras Symphony Orchestra
In December 2003, Isaac Karabtchevsky returned to Rio de Janeiro, after having lived for more than 20 years in Europe, and took on Petrobras Symphony Orchestra. During these years ahead of the orchestra, the conductor has been able to explore the best of his vast repertoire, completing the cycle of the symphonies of Gustav Mahler, and important premieres of composers virtually absent from the Brazilian stage, as the opera "The Dwarf", by Alexander Von Zemlinsky, "The Makropulos Affair", by Leoš Janáček, and "The Love for Three Oranges", by Sergei Prokofieff.

Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra

In 2011, Isaac Karabtchevsky assumed the regency of the orchestra maintained by Bacarelli Institute. The conductor, who has already led Tonkünstler Orchestra, in Vienna, Austria, and Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire, in France, is also responsible for the artistic direction of the entity. One of his the goals is to turn Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra into the flagship of the institute, a professional orchestra. In the season premiere in April 2011, the orchestra performed "Symphony No. 2 in C Minor - Resurrection", by Gustav Mahler, at Sala São Paulo.
